Alumni

The Alumni Association (AA) of the College of Nursing at CIHSR was established in the year 2017 with the objective of fostering enduring connections with graduates and facilitating networking among alumni. At present, we have 495 life members.
A decade after its establishment, the AA is pleased to note that our alumni are venturing outside the country for employment opportunities. We look forward to their active involvement and contributions to strengthen the association.

Constitution and Bye-laws:

Aim:

To maintain and sustain the relationship with the CIHSR graduates and promote networking among alumni of the institute.

Objectives:

1.      To support alumni achieve their professional and societal goals
2.      To facilitate the alumni to have association with their alma mater
3.      To bring awareness to the public about the institute
4.      To have better understanding of the alumni regarding the growth of the institution
5.      To contribute towards development of the college through academics, research, innovation and finance
6.      To have a fellowship with alumni to renew the friendship.
7.      To assist the deserving students by having scholarship fund.

Patron:

The director and the Principal.
Membership:
1) Regular member: all the graduates of GNM, B.Sc and PBBScN who have paid the subscription prescribed by the college. Memberships have to be renewed every five years
2) Life membership: An alumnus who has paid an amount prescribed by the college for life term.

General Body: The faculty, regular and life members shall be the members of the General Body of the Association.

ACTIVITIES

Alumni Meet

Through the Alumni Meet we aim to bring back the alumni to campus and foster a sense of nostalgia and community. The association has initiated the practice of honouring certain batches of Alumni during the Annual Alumni Meet with the aim of recognising and celebrating the accomplishments of the Alumni.

Alumni Voice

The AA also started a new endeavour i.e., “Alumni Voice” which is conducted biannually with the aim to inspire and courage the alumni and final year students towards higher career growth and opportunities through interactive sessions with Alumni who are well placed in the professional strata. The current students and recent graduates are invited to attend the program so that they can receive insights and support in their academic and professional endeavours.

Fund Raising

The AA encourages the outgoing students and the Alumni to contribute funds towards the Alumni Scholarship fund. Plans are being made to organize fund raising events with and by the Alumni
