Student Nurses’ Association

 Student Nurse Association is an umbrella for all the basic Nursing students studying Nursing in various institution which is established with the intention of bringing all round development of the students.It is the National Organization, the head quarter is in Delhi. The SNAs are in three level namely local, state and National.The local unit SNA in College of Nursing, Christian Institute of Health Sciences initiated in 2013, gradually it was growing with various committees in order to enrich the students learning.

OBJECTIVES

1. To help the students to uphold the dignity of the profession.
2. To promote team spirit among students for common goal.
3. To help the students to develop professional ethics.
4. To encourage students to gain positive attitude towards the nursing profession
5. To encourage the students to develop leadership quality and effective communication skills for overall development.
6. To encourage students to participate and compete in various events at state, regional and national conferences.

The above committee members work together to achieve the objectives of Student Nurses Association. The general body meeting was called once in two years and whenever necessary.     

The Roles and responsibilities of Cabinet Members

VICE PRESIDENT:

• To regulate the functions of all committees.
• Have to assist in organising all the programmes with other members
• Should act as a representative for all the students.
• Have to take decision after discussing with other committee members and with SNA Advisor .
• Any issues regarding students should be informed to president and SNA Advisor.

SECRETARY:

• Organize SNA Activities in consultation with the Advisors
• Conduct SNA meetings with each class Representative, president & Advisors
• Represent students problems to the president
• Should act as a vice president in the absence of vice president.
• Supervise and manage the problems of various committees.
• Encourage the committee members and students to participate in various programmes.

TREASURER:

• Collect money for local, state & National subscription
• Assist the fund raising chairperson during the grand sale
• Maintain the income & expenditure of the accounts
• Reports of all events expenditure during the general body meeting
• Encourage the classes to do the fund raising every month
• Maintain Records and receipts of all the expenditure
• Audit the account with the internal auditor

Other sub committees:

Sports Committee

• The sports committee is responsible for motivating the students to take part in sports.
• Maintaining the sports articles and First Aid Box.
• Helping the staff in-charge to conduct sports competitions successfully.
• Maintaining record of the Sports events and winners list.
• Organize Annual Sports meet & report the events

Editorial Committee

• Responsible to collect article for News letter regularly
• Assist the Bulletin Board committee members to display learning materials
• Make sure the newspapers come to hostel regularly
• Responsible to edit articles, Literature, other current information to be published in the News letter.

Programme / Cultural Committee

• Motivate the students to participate in the cultural events
• Request the advisor to screen the events before the actual program
• Schedule and conduct the cultural events
• Arrange for the Costumes and other necessary things for the program
• Maintain the records of the cultural events and winner list

Mess Committee

• Get suggestions from each class
• Follow the mess rules and regulations
• Make sure the hygiene is maintained in the dining hall
• Prepare the menu in consultation with mess manger and advisors of the committee
• Report the problems related to the mess and inform to the mess in charge & document it in the register kept in the dining hall.

Disciplinary Committee :

• Maintain rules and Regulations in the hostel
• Inform the unnatural incidents happened in the hostel to the warden
• Check the register for maintenance of outgoing & incoming of students

Sports Committee:

Out door events
